Corawa NSW NSW Country

Corowa is a substantial rural service centre on the Murray River that supports a number of industries including wool and timber milling and is also a proud wine making region. The first winery in the district was established as early as 1851. Dr Lindeman purchased a local vineyard in 1872 and established Corowa winery in 1877.

Did you know?

Corowa’a claim to fame is as the birthplace of Federation, which it campaigned for largely to ease trade between NSW and Victoria. Every January the town plays host to a week long ‘Federation Festival’ that includes a grand parade with floats, pipe bands and brass bands.
