Originally a timber town, Burrill Lake was amongst the first to offer services to tourists on the NSW South Coast, when Mr. and Mrs Phillip Butson began catering for the needs of the campers, from their farm west of the pine forest as early as Christmas 1922.

Did you know?

You can still catch a rare glimpse of 1950’s Australia at the Burrill Lake old open air cinema - one of the last in Australia. Once hugely popular especially in peek tourist times you had better be quick, as it is likely to disappear soon.
