The beautiful seaside village of Bonny Hills was originally home to the fishing enthusiasts amongst the north coast timbermen and to dairy farmers from nearby Wauchope and the hinterland. Nowadays, the old wood fishing shacks of the past have been replaced by homes and holiday parks with million dollar views.

Did you know?
When Captain James Cook sailed up the coast in 1770, he was impressed by the region’s three mountains he could see from his ship and named them 'The Brothers'. The most impressive, rising to 490 metres, is North Brother, which features a fantastic lookout over one of Australia’s most impressive coastal panoramas.
