Watson ACT

Watson was named in April 1960 in honour of John Christian Watson, Australia’s first Labor Prime Minister (and first Labor Leader). He became PM in 1904 at the age of just 37.

This leafy suburb is the gateway to Canberra, welcoming visitors to our National Capital and, despite being opened nearly 50 years ago, continues to grow.
