Hawker ACT

Hawker was named in honour of Charles Allan Seymour Hawker (1894-1938). Hawker was a pastoralist and Federal politician.

Hawker is a popular location for sport, and includes the multi-purpose Hawker Playing Fields; Hawker Enclosed, a small football (soccer) stadium, centres for tennis and lawn bowls; and the Hawker International Softball Centre.
